The commandment to
love our neighbor as ourselves
bids us to see the Other,
not as a mere object of our pleasure,
but as a fellow person
deserving of dignity and respect,
and a fellow bearer of the Light of Christ.
As persons worthy of love and respect,
we should strive to keep ourselves pure
in thought, word, and deed. 💖
